Current events that you may find odd; perhaps most will not think of this but it caused me to stop and wonder. Yesterday in our area a woman lost her life and her boyfriend is presently in hospital, in poor condition. There was a stabbing that took place in the couples apartment. This information is just to lead you into the story. There was a couple, who lives in the same building I assume, they were interviewed by the Media. The oddest thing about this was that the couple was smiling in this interview on what their thoughts were on what had taken place?? What would cause the smiling to happen when such an event takes place? I do not know why they were smiling, does nervousness cause a person to smile? Did the media tell them to make sure they smiled? Would it not be better if the media had told them to show perhaps sadness over what had taken place? Of course I do not know why they were smiling and I don't know if they were told to. It just made me wonder why?
Is this the way humans deal with this, are they next going to go through shock, will they have nightmares that it happened so close to home? Do people smile in times of stress or emotional fright because they are untrained to keep a straight face? The media talks daily about negative things that take place and their faces do not even hint at a smile. Does this come from training and is it a skill that a person must build upon if they are faced with this on a regular basis? I would like to know, what are your thoughts on what happens to a person when they are close at hand to a negative event and they are captured on camera by the Media? Your input is wanted!
